[Fic] The Letter, PG - Wolfram

Title: The Letter
Author: [livejournal.com profile] poisonangel7
Character: Wolfram
Word Count: 100
Rating: PG
Any Warnings: Themes of death
Author's Note: Written for [livejournal.com profile] kkm_challenge's Round 1. Prompt: 100 words

The letters were so calm and composed. The crisp, black ink was cold looking against the starkness of the bleached parchment. The uniform, even strokes did not betray the painful message they bore.

Lord von Bielefeld was dead. It happened while he was traveling on a peaceful, diplomatic mission in the border lands. Humans had attacked the envoy. Nearly everyone was killed.

There were very few other details. But the young prince did not need details. He knew all he needed to know by looking at the tear-stained parchment. His father was dead, and humanity was the enemy.

His enemy.

You probably did. I've made a list of all the fics I want to move to this journal, so you'll be seeing more old stuff soon. I'm going to space it out so that I'm not abusing the flist.

Thanks for the comment though. You know, I'd never even thought of Wolfram's anti-human stance coming from Cheri being upset over Dan Hiri. Is that a common reason to point it to? Was it mentioned in canon?

I, er, vaguely have this memory of Wolfram starting to hate *Conrad* after Dan Hiri dies, and I think extrapolated from there?

I don't recall any other specific motivations given for Wolfram's anti-human stance. (But, hey, it's been a while since I watched things.)

The only canon mention I can recall is in episode 10 when Wolfram tells Yuuri, "Well, I hate humans because I was TOTALLY SURPRISED when I found out that Conrad was half-human. Because he like, violated my trust or something. Yeah. Anyway, it was a big shock. SO I HATE HUMANS."

And of course it sounds like the most lame and transparently stupid excuse in the history of the universe.

hehe, yes, it does. Sounds like a mask for something else. (Like that affair he and Conrad had and Conrad ended.)

Thanks. I remembered something like that I thought.
