The wooden bench groaned beneath the added weight of the hooded redhead. Years of being splashed with the contents of too many mugs to count and the abuse of more than one violent bar fight had taken their toll. Thankfully, Yozak could trust his friend not to make a joke about his weight—at least not a funny one.

The spy pushed a full mug across the table to his companion as he took his first burning gulp of the potent liquid.

Conrad could always count on Yozak to come through for him even on the anniversary of Dan Hiri’s death.
