Adjusting


They were adjusting.

For Gunter it was about training himself to see Alford, or Alana as he...she liked to be called now, as someone he felt affection and even attraction for. He’d never really paid women much attention before. There had been a crush once when he was still very young to a girl with cinnamon hair, but nothing came of it.

But he had been instantly taken with the young man, and not simply because he was a man, right?

For Alford it was about adjusting to just about everything. His emotions were different--sometimes spinning erratically out of his control in several separate directions in a single afternoon. His own body that he had honed over the years with endless hours of sword practice and training was changed. And not just the strange new body parts, but their function and the way they processes sensations. He could never have imagined being female was such a completely divergent experience from being male.

It was hard for him to be touched when he didn’t know how he would react or what he felt anymore. And Gunter was trying so hard. It wasn’t fair. It wasn’t fair he had to try at all to anyone.

For the other Alford it was about adjusting to the other two making adjustments. They treated each other differently, and he didn’t understand why. But they were far wiser than himself, so he was patient and followed the flow of their three person entanglement. He still didn’t know how he got so lucky to be with two such beautiful beings.
