His eyes were soft once. It was a long time ago--another lifetime. They were soft and warm and brown and they used to stare up at his neesan and niisan affectionately. The eyes that stared out his third floor bedroom window were harder, colder, and maybe even a little faded.
He didn’t have to turn around to know who had opened the door and slipped inside. “You let her go like you promised, didn’t you?”
“You doubt me, lover?” Yozak feigned a hurt tone at the implied accusation.
“No, of course not. I just...I know she is our enemy, but...” Conrad stumbled over the words and thoughts that conflicted in his mind.
“But you still love her,” Yozak supplied.
“That isn’t true.”
“Oh? Maybe I don’t know the meaning of the word then. Enlighten me. Tell me you don’t still dream about her. Tell me you don’t still have regrets.” He fisted his hand in the other man’s shirt and forced him back to the wall, moving with him so that his lips hung just over the shell of his ear. “Tell me you don’t think of her while I’m fucking you.”
Some sound escaped from the back of Conrad’s throat like a whimper. He could feel Yozak’s feet pushing against his, causing his legs to spread wide. “I--” A pink tongue flickered out and traced a path along the ridge of Conrad’s ear.
Whatever he had been thinking about seemed far away and buried deep beneath a rush of sensations. Yozak knew all the right places and all the right ways to touch him even if it was for all the wrong things. But he could slide into the feelings and pretend they were real. He could retreat into the moans and whimpers and velvet soft nice and rough, brusque sexy.
Those formerly soft, brown eyes closed tight and in the darkness behind his eyelids the world felt right. And as everything else fell away he honestly hoped the blinding light that made him remember and regret would stay away this time.
But it never did.
